I think it is currently closed on the way of earthquake-proof construction.
Monday
There is. It has been repaired and is getting better
It seems that holidays are opening
There is no exhibition because renewal is under construction.
I will start with the positive, the waitresses were very nice and seem to try hard to be fast and efficient. Now... the food arrived 30 mins after we ordered, probably the kitchens fault, we didn't even order anything complicated, atleast not something that would take 30 mins. The prices were quite high and the food wasn't worth it, the pita was 90% salad, the falafel was cold and soggy and i have tasted better hummus from a supermarket, not what you'd expect from a place which specializes in middle eastern food. The bill arrived and it wasn't even summed up, needed to sum it up ourselves.
Good food, nice setup near Station. Takeout ok. Has vegan option. Visited for lunch on weekend, Falafel sandwich was tasty. Felt it was a bit overpriced though as the portion was moderate. You can buy some delicacy from the counter to take home as well.Overall - if you are looking for middle eastern/Arabic food this is a good place to try.
Delicious, genuine food, a small variety of middle eastern groceries to buy, nice atmosphere and kind staff. You can choose between a lot of main dishes and desserts, both traditional and more mainstream (halva and baklava, but also brownie). Added bonus is vegan and vegetarian options. I personally found the portions fine and felt satisfied, but I can understand that for some people it might be a bit small.
My first time trying falafel, it was pretty good. The cafe atmosphere was cozy and the outside seats are perfect when you're trying to enjoy the perfect weather.
They have great middle-eastern food here.
Amazing falafel and all round great vegan food. Prices are completely reasonable. Would happily visit again!!
Big portions of pita sandwiches for lunch! I had the avocado and cheese pita which was good but a bit too salty for my taste. Can be difficult and messy to eat so use the fork provided. Love the fantastic quick service and the relaxing vibe of the place!
Expensive, seriously. Good date spot, but would not return. Standard taste.
Great falafel with a really nice view on the top floor!
Filling, reasonably priced, tasty, and very relaxed atmosphere - can't recommend it enough!
Excellent food, great service, nice atmosphere. Highly recommend it.
Good food. Good ambience. It was quite difficult to find the restaurant. The fried pita was quite good. They don’t give one wrap with hummus and pita together so you should take the hummus wrap separately and get a plate of falafel
Good quality food. The falafel was good, portions filled me up, and the baklava for dessert was sooo good. I'll be going back again and bringing a bigger appetite.
Tasty food good Falafels, veg. and vegan options. Ok for single visitors, comfortable basic feeling and seating. Price a bit high for the portion, but you may be paying for the locally uncommon Israeli food. Norrh of Kyoto, but very close to two connecting train stations.
Pretty good! Had the Mix Set for takeout. I felt that pita bread was a little bit lacking but everything that went inside it was on point. I will be back again!
Vegan-friendly Israel restaurant! Vegan available courses are marked clearly on the menu. Just hope that more vegan options will be available in the future!
Good and quick! Very tasty. You dine in or order to go. Prices are reasonably compared to other places
Fun little vegetarian spot located near the beautiful waterside. They do takeout so eating near the water is definitely an option. 🔆
Food was great. Best falafel I've ever had. Nice service. Takes a bit of time for food to arrive. Great atmosphere.
Big portions, good price, nice staff, and mostly: many vegan options in the menu 😊
This is one of my favourite vegetarian restaurant in Kyoto, where I can have fresh vegetarian food in a welcoming and quiet environment. I enjoyed every meal option here, such as the rich salads, falafel, hummus along with pita bread. Good to have free WiFi.
THE BEST HUMMUS & FALAFEL IN KANSAI
We found this vegetarian-friendly restaurant in Kyoto (which isn’t easy) and it was a nice change after eating Japanese food for a week. The falafel sandwich and French fries were delicious, as was the white wine from Israel.
Nice quiet place to enjoy a vegan friendly restaurant.
Decent middle Eastern if you're craving something different. Portions were a little small for the price
Good food and inexpensive
Great Israeli spot.... a little piece of home in Japan
There are several vegan options. Falafel was really good.
Best vegetarian and Vegan rrstaurant in Kyoto. Dont bother with other places. Have some Falafel and beer!
Prices way too high. Too much salad inside the falafel sandwich and the tomato sauce is a big no, more fresh tomato would make a huge difference.
Vegetarian food is really good.
Great Falafel pitta. Ingredients tastes super fresh. Nice option to have a change from (delicious) Japanese food when you are traveling in Japan for extended period.
Highly recommended Israeli restaurant, wonderful food and friendly owner. Falafel, Humus, other foods etc extremely fresh and delicious. Especially the hand made Baklava dessert. Many healthy and vegetarian options available too. I want to visit them over and over again...
Not really sure what all the amazing reviews are about - my boyfriend and I thought the place was mediocre. The falafel was standard and only just warm, not particularly crispy on the outside either. You get 6 in a portion and they are quite small.I ordered the baba ghanoush pitta, which looked amazing, but to be honest I’ve made better baba ghanoush, and it was almost all lettuce inside with 6 small slices of aubergine at the top. It’s a fairly cheap place to eat I guess, but honestly wouldn’t have bothered had I known what it was like! I guess my expectations were high from all the good reviews, and I work on a falafel food stall myself so maybe that skewed my opinion.
Good healthy food very near Demachiyanagi station. We went here as a group of about ten. The restaurant owner came and talked to us about the food and how to make it properly. Not too expensive, but not super cheap either. I think the photos speak for themselves. Also plenty of parking nearby.
The Falafel Garden has a gorgeous patio and is a great place to consider if you want something besides Japanese food. It is pretty far off from the town center but you can get there by train quite easily. I found the falafel to be somewhat tasty but the food overall was not one of my favorite eating experiences in Kyoto. The service was also quite slow, not a great place to go to if you are in a rush.
It’s a wonderful café with a beautiful downstairs and upstairs area and even a backyard. The staff were particularly kind and gracious. My neck was hurting at the time, so they offered me ice and were extremely helpful. Plus, the food was absolutely delicious, specially the chicken kebab. The drinks and desserts also looked absolutely delicious, but I didn’t try any this time. Next time!
what a fail...30 min' waiting fora falafel , loland the food isn't good too
Delicious food, there are many vegetarian options and that's great. Staff is friendly, cosy ambient. They also have like lunch menu that comes with soup and potatoes
Very delicious. Many vegan ootions. Nice place.
Lovely place with great food at an affordable place. One of the favorites among the locals :)
Excellent falafel and cardomon coffee
This is great Greek food. The price is a little on the high side for a meal though it is definitely worth the price.
Awesome find! Great food and friendly staff. A must if you're in Kyoto.
Good falafel | vegetarian options. Servers friendly and English OK. Even better if: food was a bit slow but worth the wait.
the falafel are correct for lunch but little beat slow service. . . place for Gajin.. .
Yummy falafel. Several vegan/vegetarian options to choose from. I was pleased with the portion size and price as I expect non-Japanese food to have a bigger price tag. Staff was very kind and helpful. Short walk from the train station.
Great food and great service! Fun little find!
The vegetarian food is excellent and so is the service. Two of us went for dinner. Had the panini with hummus for 700. A combo panini wrap (baba ghanoush and falafel) for 1500. And the pumpkin icecream, with cornflakes and caramel syrup was superb! Totally recommend this place.
Our tour manager Ketanbhai Shah , took our group to the place. Nice falafel.
